The "devil's test" that every qualified wheel has to undergo
Wheels are as important to cars as legs are to people, and their safety is most directly linked to driving safety. For this reason, wheels must undergo very rigorous testing before they can be put on the market. So what are the industry's "devil's tests" on wheels? Come and find out with JWHEEL!
1.Radial impact test
This test is designed to simulate what happens when the entire wheel passes over a pothole at high speed while driving.
Passing standard: no deformation, no cracking.
2.13° impact test
This is a test in which a heavy hammer is used to hit the wheel rim in contact with the tyre at an angle of 13° to simulate the impact of a vehicle hitting, for example, a stone or a road edge while driving.
3.90° impact test
This test simulates the impact of one side of the wheel against a stone on the road during travel.
4. Fatigue radial test
This test simulates the road conditions of a vehicle in motion, with the wheel mounted on a tyre and run on a test bench for 500,000 or even 1 million revolutions.
5.Bending fatigue test
The bending fatigue test simulates the stress on the wheel hub when the vehicle is thrown back, etc. The whole wheel is subjected to a rotational bending force, mainly to see how strong the rim is in relation to the spokes.
*The above test material is taken from the JWHEEL laboratory wheel quality test.
The majority of users nowadays are still interested in the appearance of the wheel and ignore the quality of the wheel, which is of course important in our practical use, but in comparison to the safety of use, appearance is obviously not a reason to buy. Safety is a matter of life and death, so make sure you buy JWHEEL!
